    March, 2008 Events

    Easter

    Easter Weekend

    Help us celebrate our Grand Opening and Easter all at the same time. Have fun coloring Easter eggs Saturday afternoon, along with activities in the Activity Center making an Easter Bonnet to wear in the parade($). Join us for an Easter Egg Hunt Sunday morning, followed by the Easter Parade.


       Daffodil Hill

    March 28-30
    Daffodil Days

    Visit the quaint town of Volcano, California and tour Daffodil Hill during Daffodil Days (weather permitting) - just a short drive from Jellystone. Take lots of pictures of the peacocks that run wild all over the area. We will be making our own daffodils in the Activity Center ($).

    Faux Pas Weekend

    Come dressed in your craziest clothes. It doesn’t matter if they match or not, the weirder the better! Tie-dyeing will be available in the Activity Center Saturday (bring your own white T-shirt or buy a Yogi T-shirt) ($).

    Do you have what it takes to be the next big star to come out of Jellystone Park? Step on the stage at Sugar Pine Hall and test out your talent. Bring family & friends to cheer you on.


    Earth Day

    Help make Yogi’s Park at Pine Grove more beautiful. We’ll have all sorts of fun and games to celebrate Earth Day.


       Battle of the Sexes

    Battle of the Sexes

    Mom vs. Dad, Brothers vs. Sisters… Who will win? Join the fun with tug-o-war, hula hoop contest, relay races, & trivia games. Prizes awarded after the Ice Cream Social.

    Get into a festive Cinco de Mayo mood with our Taco Bar Saturday night along with mariachi music. Pińata for the kids of all ages Saturday. Celebrate Mexican history with family & friends. Enjoy crafts and games all weekend.


       Mother’s Day Weekend

    Mother’s Day Weekend

    Happy Mother’s Day from Yogi Bear and all the gang. Make a gift for mom at arts & crafts. Decorate a cake for mom and we’ll have a cake walk where mom can buy your cake. We’ll have a pancake breakfast for mom Sunday morning. ($) (Mom eats free.)


    Prom Weekend

    Prom Weekend

    Bring your favorite party/prom outfit or just come as you are and dance the night away with our local DJ in Sugar Pine Hall. There will be punch and snacks served. Help make decorations Saturday in the Activity Center. Snuggle with your favorite sweetie and take a hayrack ride.


       Memorial Day Weekend

    May 23-26
    Memorial Day Weekend Grand Opening

    (Holiday rates, 3 night minimum)

    Our theme this weekend is our men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. Decorate your campsite with a patriotic theme. Lots of arts & crafts all weekend. Special flag raising Saturday & Sunday morning.

    Super Hero Weekend

    Who is your secret super hero? Bring your own costume or make a super hero mask in arts & crafts this weekend and save the world (or just Yogi!). Join in the parade around the park to show off your costume or mask. (Superman’s birthday is June 1)


       Father’s Day Weekend

    Father’s Day Weekend

    Celebrate Dad this weekend with a mini golf “closest to the hole” contest, father & kid(s) scavenger hunt, races, swimming fun, & more. Pancake breakfast Sunday morning. ($) (Dad eats free)

    Do you think you are the best mini golfer around? Plan to join us this weekend to find out who is the best golfer. Prizes will be given to individuals (boys, girls, men & women) and families.

    Calling all chocoholics! All activities will involve drippy, sticky, lip-smacking chocolate. Enjoy messy chocolate pudding couples trivia. How well do you know your special someone?

    Come and celebrate the Stars & Stripes with us. We’ll have red, white & blue crafts, fun family games, decorate your campsite & win a prize for the most creative & most patriotic. BBQ & ice cream in the group picnic area. (No fireworks allowed).


       Aloha Weekend

    July 11-13
    Aloha Weekend

    Pack your grass skirt, Bermuda shorts or flowered shirts and plan to join us for a Jellystone Luau. We’ll be making colorful leis in arts & crafts to wear at the luau. There will be Hawaiian Karaoke Saturday after the luau. See who can hula hoop the longest or limbo the lowest!


    Western Weekend

      

    July 18-20
    Western Weekend

    Howdy partner! Western wear for adults and kids are the dress this weekend. There will be a quick draw contest & stick horse races. Help decorate our hayrack and take a spin around the park. Sing along by the huge campfire Friday night and square dancing Saturday night in Sugar Pine Hall.


       49er Days

    July 25-27
    49er Days

    Join us for a tour Roaring Camp Gold Mine Saturday afternoon. Stay for a steak dinner ($) or come back to Jellystone for a BBQ in the group picnic area. Bring a side dish to share and swap stories of how much gold you found!

    Hot August Nights

    If you have a classic car, plan to bring it to the Jellystone Park at Pine Grove’s classic car show. Campers & the public will vote for the best classic car for a weekend at Jellystone Park. Matchbox car racing (bring yours or use ours). Special showing of “American Graffiti” movie Friday night.


       Pirates of the Caribbean

    August 8-10
    Pirates of the Caribbean

    Walk the plank, hunt for buried treasure, make or bring a pirate costume. "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies shown throughout the weekend.


    Elvis Weekend

      

    August 15-17
    Elvis Weekend

    Come celebrate Elvis Presley, the King of Rock & Roll, with an Elvis look-a-like contest. Enjoy Elvis music and movies. Beach blanket bingo played in Sugar Pine Hall.


       Back to School

    It’s about time for school to begin. Get in the swing of things with a Spelling Bee contest or guess the number of pennies in the jar & win them all! Come to the pizza party on Saturday night ($).

    Come one, come all to the last swim weekend of the summer. Water balloon and water gun fights, swim races, synchronized swimming contest. Hamburgers & hot dogs served Sunday night. Campers bring your favorite side dish or desert.

    Grandparents, bring your grandkids for a special weekend and receive a 15% discount (RV & cabin rentals). Share some Tall Tales about the grandkid’s parents when you were bringing them up! Games & activities planned.

    The leaves are beginning to change & cooler weather is just around the corner. Bring your favorite chili or soup recipe for our cook-off. Prizes awarded to the best chili/soup. If you can’t make chili or soup, bring a side dish or dessert for a fall get together.

    Apples at Apple Hill are ripe and ready for the pickin’. Plan a trip to Apple Hill on Saturday for pies, crafts, train rides & more. Then come back to Jellystone for more apple fun and a hayrack ride.

    Go Broncos! Go Colts! Go Raiders! What is your favorite team? Wear your team’s colors and show team spirit! Join in a game of flag football. After the game join us for an “Everyone’s a Winner” victory party.

    Casino Weekend

    Do you enjoy playing cards, shooting craps or playing the slot machines? Jackson Rancheria Casino is 8 miles from Jellystone Park in Jackson Rancheria. Why not make a day, or night, out of it and catch a show there. We will have casino type games throughout the weekend with some special prizes.


    Columbus Day

    (Holiday rates, 2 night minimum)

    Bring a flag from any country or make one in arts & crafts. There will be a Parade of Flags Saturday afternoon. You can also make a teepee or paper canoe.


       Pumpkin Patch

    October 17-19
    Pumpkin Patch

    Bring a pumpkin with you or we’ll have plenty to choose from for a pumpkin carving activity. We’ll have a contest for the scariest, funniest, and most creative pumpkin.


    Fall Harvest

      

    October 24-26
    Fall Harvest

    Plan to join us at the first Jellystone Fall Harvest celebration. We’ll be doing crafts with some of the areas nature, pumpkin carving, and a costume contest. Bring candy for Saturday night Glow stick trick or treating. Hayrack rides all weekend.


       Halloween Weekend

    October 31-Nov 2
    Halloween Weekend

    (2 night minimum, special rates)

    Trick or Treat the Trail of Horrors, if you dare! Come & visit the Counts Cave. Spooky events await you this weekend. Come dressed up in your scariest costume Saturday night for Fright Night Karaoke.

    Veterans Day is November 11th. Come participate in a special thanks to all our veterans who have served in our armed forces. Special rates for all vets and their families. Bring your friends, as well for a new experience at a Jellystone Park.


       Sadie Hawkins Day

    Sadie Hawkins Day

    November 15th is Sadie Hawkins Day. Ladies (young & old), ask your favorite fella to the dance Saturday night in Sugar Pine Hall. We’ll make boutonničres for the guys to wear.


    Pre-Thanksgiving Weekend

      

    November 21-23
    Pre-Thanksgiving Weekend

    If you can’t be with us next weekend for our Thanksgiving dinner, come visit us early for some turkey fun. The kids will enjoy crafts and games. Dad can watch football on the big screen while mom shops in historic Sutter Creek, California.


       Pre-Thanksgiving Weekend

    November 26-30
    Thanksgiving Weekend

    (Holiday rates, 3 night minimum)

    Join us for a big turkey dinner Thursday. We’ll bring the turkey & dressing, you bring the fixin’s (don’t forget desserts)! Beverages & paper goods furnished - just a special “Thank You” from your Jellystone staff. Reservations for dinner must be received by Nov 24th. After dinner (and all weekend) dad can enjoy football while mom shops for Christmas.
